Following the recent report of a new outburst of the neutron star transient SAX J1747.0-2853 (ATel #1228), we observed this source with Swift on 2007 Oct 9 for a total good time of 4.6 ksec. The spectrum of this object can be well-fit by either an absorbed power law with N_H = (7.8 +\- 0.6)E22 cm^-2 and Gamma = 2.7 +\- 0.2, or an absorbed multicolour disk blackbody with N_H = (5.5 +/- 0.4)E22 cm^-2 and kT = 1.7 +\- 0.1 keV. We find no evidence of an Fe K emission line which has previously been observed in this source (Werner et al. 2004, A&A, 416, 311; Natalucci et al. 2004, A&A, 416, 699)

The 2-10 keV flux of the source was (7.8 +/- 3.0)E-11 erg/cm^2/s, which after correcting for absorption and assuming a distance of 7.5 kpc (Werner et al. 2004, A&A, 416, 311) gives a 2-10 keV luminosity = (1.1 +/- 0.4)E36 erg/s.
