Discovery of a Supernova Candidate

We report the discovery of a SN candidate, ROTSE3 J133033.0-313427, in unfiltered CCD images taken on March 07.04 UT with the 0.45-m ROTSE-IIIc telescope at the H.E.S.S. site in Namibia. The transient was detected at about 16.9 mag on both March 07.04 UT and March 08.03 UT from ROTSE-IIIc, and again on March 08.56 at mag about 17.0 from ROTSE-IIIa telescope at Siding Spring Observatory, Australia. The new object is located at RA= 13h30m33s.03, Dec= -31o34'26".8, which is 4.5" east and 8.2" north to the center of galaxy ESO 444-60 (z~0.04823 according to simbad). No source was detected at this location in the ROTSE-IIIc image (limit ~18.5 mag) before Feb. 26. A finding chart of the transient is posted at the following website URL:
