Flaring Blazars from CRTS

We report the discovery of several flaring radio sources and blazars by the Catalina Real-time Transient Survey (CRTS) in data from the Catalina Sky Survey during the period from 2010-10-30 to 2010-11-15 UT. All these were announced in real-time on the CRTS website.

With a 4-mag jump relative to its usual state, at 14th mag CSS101102:234512-155508 is a good target even for smaller telescopes. Over the last 6 years CSS101102:234803-163112 has varied a lot and is currently at its brightest during that period (16th mag).

Follow-up is requested. A search for the corresponding gamma-ray flares in the Fermi GST data would be useful.
