Detailed description of HDF CommandsThe HDF commands obey the standard QCL syntax for loadable commands. They consist of a command word (not prefixed by dot or any other reserved character) followed by a list of parameters separated by commas. Parameters which are character strings must be enclosed in single quotes and symbolic names and operators can be used just as in FORTRAN 77 subroutine argument lists. The symbolic name HDF_OBJECT is always expected to be on the default node. The symbolic names HDF_DNODE, HDF_OSPEC, HDF_A, HDF_B and HDF_C can be prefixed by a file name ending in the % delimiter. However if this is omitted then the object is expected to be on the default node.
