Ginga Specific Software: Program FOLD_MULTI



Purpose

Program fold_multi folds up to 50 time series on a single period. The output file contains only the folded light curve. Fold_multi folds data after taking into account the time delay to the heliocentric frame of reference (generated using the program helio), although this is not necessary.

The output file has the same root name as the first input file, but takes the extension ".fld". The results may be displayed using the qcl procedure pl_fold.qcl or extracted using the program ginga fold.


Input File

A Ginga data CUBE or TIME series.


Output File

A HDS file containing the folded light curve (it may also contain unfolded HK parameters).


Input Parameters

Fold_multi requires a variable number of input parameters. The QX parameter system is used to read these parameters.

FLD_NCUBE The number of the input data files.
FLD_CUBE(FLD_NCUBE) The name(s) of the input data cube(s) or time series.
FLD_IPHA(FLD_NCUBE) The pulse height channel(s) to be folded.
FLD_IDENT(FLD_NCUBE) The ident channel(s) to be folded.
FLD_EPOCH The epoch at which the folding is to begin.
FLD_BINS The number of phase bins that the light curve will be folded into.
FLD_TCORR The program prompts the user regarding the time delay to the heliocentric frame of reference (the default is to correct the light curves).


Output Parameter

Fold_multi returns one output parameter. The QX parameter system is used to display this parameter.

FLD_RESULT The name of the output folded data cube or time series.
