Ginga Specific Software: Program FOLDTS
Program foldts folds a section of a time series on a period
or range of periods; the period(s) may also change linearly with
time. In the case of multiple folds the output file contains the
chi-square (against a constant model) of the folded light curve at
each period, as well as the actual folded light curve at the period
having the maximum chi-square. In the other case, that of the single
fold, the output file contains only the folded light curve
(c.f. foldcb).
The output file has the root name of the input file with the
extension type ".fld". The results in the file may be
displayed using the qcl procedure pl
fold.qcl or extracted using the program ginga fold.

Foldts requires up to twelve input parameters. The QX
parameter system is used to read these parameters.

The name of the input data cube or time series. |

The start time of the data section to be folded (in seconds; the
default is 0.0). |

The end time of the data section to be folded (in seconds; the
default is the end of the observation). |

Pulse height channel to be folded. |

| FLD_IDENT |
Ident channel to be folded. |

Statistics to be done on the folded light curve (the default is
MEAN; other methods include MINMAX and
SCATTER). |

| FLD_EPOCH |
The epoch at which the folding is to begin. |

| FLD_START |
Period at which folding is to begin for multiple folds, or the
fold period for a single fold. |

| FLD_END |
Highest period in a multiple fold range. |

| FLD_DELTA |
Period increment for a multiple fold range. |

| FLD_PDOT |
Rate of change of period. |
| |
|
| FLD_BINS |
The number of phase bins that the light curve will be folded
into. |
Foldts returns one output parameter. The QX parameter system
is used to display this parameters.
