Purpose

Program hds2asc converts a Ginga TIME series into an ASCII file. If the input file has more than one energy or ident channel then the first channel is always extracted. To select the data included in the ASCII file manipulate the original data file using hyper or select .

Input File

A Ginga TIME series (CUBE are acceptable but see above).

Output File

An ASCII file containing times (in seconds), data values and errors.

Input Parameters

Hds2asc requires two input parameters. The QX parameter system is used to read these parameters.

Output File Format

One record consisting of the base MJD and the pulse height range (0-63) covered, followed by a variable number of records each consisting of an offset time (in seconds) from that base MJD, a count rate and the 1 statistical error.
