The previous sections describes how to obtain a cleaned,
background subtracted and attitude corrected data cube. However, most
scientific analysis involves either fitting models to pulse height
spectra or studying light curves. Spectral files and time series can
be created from data cubes using either the program hyper or
select. These programs were briefly mentioned in sections 2.6 and 2.8; the following sections give further
details of these programs.
