The Command-line Interface, BROWSEThe LEDAS maintains a dedicated Internet node and captive account containing software which provides users with a full range of database enquiry and manipulation commands, together with utilities for display and export of associated data products. To log-on to the captive account, simply,
% ssh ledas@ledas2.star.le.ac.uk No password is required. First-time users must supply a unique username by which they can be identified in the future. Type help to access the on-line help. Once within the captive environment, only a limited number of commands are enabled: typing ``?" will display a list of the available Unix-type commands (cp, ls, tar etc.). The only other enabled command is ``browse", which is our command-line database query tool. |
