Archive contents and data qualityThe XRT and WFC archives contain the data as distributed to the original PI: photon event files, auxiliary files such as attitude, orbit and housekeeping information, and images. The data products for the XRT and WFC are accessed through the ROSPUBLIC and ROSWFCPUB database tables respectively. WFC data are maintained in the archive as HDS event files, images, exposure maps and an ASCII header file. These products have been processed post-facto at Leicester and are different to the dataset (event and housekeeping files) originally distributed to the PIs. Throughout the mission ROSAT datasets have been analysed to produce source lists and other `derived' databases. Most of these database tables are resident on the LEDAS system and are available for public use. The derived nature of these databases adds value to the public archive by providing a direct route to the many object classes and the thousands of individual sources detected by ROSAT during the pointed program. Table 4 is a list of these ROSAT databases as of March 2000. An up-to-date list of the ROSAT databases currently available at LEDAS can be found at: http://www.ledas.ac.uk/rosat/rosat_alldbs.html.
