Potential conflicts with the original PI

If you request recent ASCA, Chandra or ROSAT observations from the archive, bear in mind that the original PI may be at the final stages of analysing the data, or may even have submitted a paper using the observation for publication. For this reason you are urged to contact the PI before embarking on substantial data analysis projects.
