The Digitized Sky Survey Image BrowserThis service provides access to digitised optical Schmidt plates forming the STScI Digitized Sky Survey (DSS). The Digitized Sky Survey (DSS) is a digitised version of Schmidt survey plates covering the entire sky at 1.7" resolution. The LEDAS DSS service offers access to the full sky, and users are able to request images up to 1 degree square in FITS, HDS and GIF formats (images larger than 1 degree square will also be available on request). Future improvements to the service will include larger image sizes, coordinate grid overlays, catalogue overlays and a batch interface to allow convenient access to large numbers of images. Many users find this service highly useful for producing finding charts. The address for the LEDAS DSS service is: http://ledas-www.ledas.ac.uk/DSSimage.
