The Swift 1.2 Release Notes describe the software included in the second public Swift release. The HEAsoft Release Notes 5.3.1 give an overview of what has changed since HEASOFT version 5.3. As with previous releases, users have the option of downloading either the source code for the software and compiling the tools themselves, or downloading precompiled executables directly.
Precompiled HEAsoft software for Sun Solaris, Digital OSF, Mac OS X / Darwin, Cygwin, Silicon Graphics IRIX, and Linux (x86/PC and PowerPC/Mac).
Source code of the entire HEAsoft package: general tools, mission specific tasks, and graphical user interface utilities (GUIs) for building locally.
Precompiled versions of a few basic utility programs: fcopy, fdump, fmodhead, fplot, fverify and nh.
HEAsoft Developer's Guide v5.0 (Draft): Currently available only online, this is an initial (and incomplete) draft document for developers writing tools which need to be integrated with the HEAsoft environment.
HEAdas Developers Guide v0.1: Developers guide for the new HEAdas (nee FTOOLS2) data analysis system is available online.
Xselect Users' Guide v2.2: Available online and as postscript (330K) and tarred HTML (67K) files.
Ximage Users' Guide: Available online and as postscript (130K), tarred HTML (86K), and LaTeX (56K) files.
