The following are the key ROSAT databases are currently held by LEDAS:
The Main ROSAT Databases at LEDAS
- ROSPUBLIC - the ROSAT Public Data Archive.
The ROSPUBLIC database contains the current list of the ROSAT XRT datasets which have been released to the public archive from the CAL, PV and AO phases of the pointed observation program.
This database contains pointers to PSPC/HRI datasets and to quick-look images.
It is the primary route for obtaining ROSAT XRT data.
- ROSWFCPUB - the WFC Public Data Archive.
The ROSWFCPUB database contains the current list of the ROSAT Wide Field Camera (WFC) datasets which have been released to the public archive from the CAL, PV and AO phases of the pointed observation program.
This database contains pointers to WFC datasets and to quick-look images.
It is the primary route for obtaining ROSAT WFC data.
- ROSMASTER - Master Observation Log.
The ROSMASTER database contains all the basic information on ROSAT observations, including target name and coordinates, pointing durations, PI name and country, ROSAT Observation Request sequence number, time-line information and more.
ROSMASTER collates all information held in ROSATLOG, ROSSTL and ROSLTL and therefore supersedes these tables.
- RASSBSC - ROSAT All-Sky Survey Bright Source Catalogue.
This catalogue is derived from the all-sky survey performed during the first half year of the ROSAT mission in 1990-1991; 18,811 sources are catalogued, with a limiting ROSAT PSPC count rate of 0.05 cts/s in the energy band 0.1-2.4 keV.
- ROSHRI - HRI Pointed Observation Source Catalog.
The ROSHRI data table contains a list of sources detected by the Standard Analysis Software System (SASS) in reprocessed, public HRI datasets.
These data have been screened by ROSAT data centers in the US, Germany, and the UK as a step in the production of the ROSAT RESULTS ARCHIVE.
The RRA contains extracted source and associated products with an indication of reliability for the primary parameters.
- WGACAT - Catalogue of WGA Point Sources.
This is the 1st revision of the WGACAT point source catalogue generated from all ROSAT PSPC pointing observations from Feb 1991 to March 1994 available in the public archive at HEASARC in Feb 1995.
The total number of unique sequences (ROR) that were processed is 3007 and includes both the US and the German/UK public archived data.
The catalog currently (March 6, 1995) contains in excess of 68,000 detections, with more than 62,000 individual sources.
There also a complete alphabetical listing of all ROSAT-related database tables held at Leicester.
For more details, see the DBHELP for each table.
