Source parameters
- Col. 100: EP_FLUX (E) [erg/cm2/s]
The mean total band flux (0.2-12keV) of the detections in all
cameras (Cols. 105,
107, and 103), weighted by the errors, in
erg/cm2/s. A camera detection is only included in
the calculation of the mean if the flags 1, 5, and 6 are all
set False for this camera (see Sec. 3.3.1). This
can lead to the situation where EP_FLUX is set NULL for a valid
source because none of the camera detections satisfy the above
criteria. It is to be treated as an upper limit if the source
was not detected but observed with any one
camera (for the observed area of each camera see the products
exposure maps, see Appendix A.1)

Col. 130: PN_TOT (E) [cnts/s] SAS task emldetec
Total band count rate (0.2-12keV) of the PN detection in counts
per second, i.e., the sum of the count rates in the individual
bands 1 - 5 ( Cols. 172 -

are determined using the SAS task emldetect, which
does a simultaneous maximum likelihood PSF fit to the source
count distribution in each energy band (for details see
Sec. 3.2.3 f)).
The count rate is the total source counts ( Col. 136) divided by an OOT-factor
(Out Of Time) and by the exposure map
(which combines the mirror vignetting, detector efficiency, bad
pixels and CCD gaps, cf. Sec. 3.2.3 f), and
http://xmmssc-www.star.le.ac.uk/pubdocs/SSC-LUX-SP-0004.ps.gz,
Sec. 6.5.2.6). The OOT-factor depends on the PN modes (see
Col. 24 for the modes).
The source counts and with it the count rates were implicitly
background subtracted during the fitting process.
